Jim Babcock, N4FAF

Jim Babcock passed his Technician and General tests in the Fall of 2017. He is learning to operate CW before taking the Extra exam. Jim is active in the Loudoun ARES chapter. ARES works with the Loudoun Emergency Operations Center and local hospitals to develop plans for communications support in the event of an emergency.

Jim is a life-long resident of Northern Virginia. He graduated from George Mason University with a degree in Computer Science. He works for the decendent of the Collins Radio Company, now known as Collins Aerospace which is centered in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The office in Northern Virginia develops aircraft simulators. Jim works as a software engineer developing real time software to accomplish aircrew training objectives.
